Toledo City Employees Fellowship Night presents “DAKONG BAYLE 08” was proudly hosted by Marissa Rubin. The fellowship night was crowded with enjoyment, vocalizing, party, amazement and play. Dakong Bayle is a Big Disco in English. There was also a Holy Mass for the fellowship night. After the Holy Mass the Civil Service Office (CSO) assist the registration for all the employees from the local and national offices. After that, they proceed to Barba Complex for a dinner.

The event was extremely successful, they really enjoy ballroom dancing and disco ’till dawn with CGES Band and Toledo Band. Read the rest of this entry »

I spent a few minutes today reading the latest news of Toledo City regarding the 2008 A. Mabini Awards.

Engr. Rey Merida the AMCHA President in Toledo City is one of the recepients of the 2008 A. Mabini Awardees which was announced by the Philippine Foundation of the Rehabilitation of the Disabled or (PFRD)

Merida is now the Outstanding Disabled Filipino for Visayas.

The Toledo City will be hosting three big events in one day, namely; the City Thanksgiving in Honor of the Feast day of San Juan de Sahagun, the premier and first Launching of the Hinulawan Festival (”Hin-ulawan”) a contraction of two words “Hinaguang Bulawan”, a festival showcasing the talents and ingenuity of Toledanos by depicting dances dating back to the Pintados, Pre-Spanish, Spanish, Rural, Neo-ethnic to Modern Era and the Provincial Capitol’s tourism project Suroy-Suroy Sugbo that will bring pride to our City, and hope to be included in the
