Toledo City, Philippines - According to news, In observance of the Philippine Independence Day, the Toledo City Mayor Arlene Zambo and Toledo City Vice-Mayor Rudy Espinosa led the hoisting of the Philippine flag during the Flag raising ceremony held at the Toledo City Hall, 8:00 a.m. on June 12, 2008.

It was joined in by all the Local & National offices of the City. The Sangguniang Panlungsod spearheaded by Toledo City Vice-Mayor Rudy Espinosa and the Toledo City officials made their presence visible. A short civic military parade of City officials was done in front of the Toledo City Hall marshalled by PNP and BFP. And a grand salute from Toledo city Mayor Zambo and Toldeo City Vice-Mayor Rudy Espinosa made the event worthy of emulation. The national anthem was led by the City Health office and in front were the Officials and Department Heads.

Her honorable Toledo City Mayor Arlene Zambo gave an awe-inspiring message for the Government Employees, both from the Local and National Offices.The culmination of the activity does not end from there, since after the flag raising,in the afternoon, the City will be hosting another fete, that of Hinulawan Festival and the Suroy-Suroy Sugbo.
